ABOUT Plate 79

This clay might have been over-fired in its first firing because it did not absorb the glaze in the glazing stage. This means that the pours are smaller in the clay. When I poured glaze on the bisque-ware, most of the glaze slipped off and only a thin layer of glaze stayed on.

So, I had to do multiple glaze layers after waiting a day for each layer to dry. This resulted in more variety of shades in this piece.

Firing: High fire reduction

Clay: Coleman Porcelain

Made with glazes at Echo art studio
