I had picked up two 25 lb bags of death valley clay with no particular plan what I would do with the clay besides I love the deep burnt brick color. However, I found it really nice for throwing tall pieces so I ended up making several large vases that used 4 lb each. In the end, I had a small ball of clay left and I decided to make this little plate! =) Now I want to buy more death valley clay to make more plates.
