I'm in the process of making a custom set of plates and bowls and was originally using Coleman porcelain. The studio ran out of Coleman porcelain and the company we purchase it from is waiting for raw materials to make a new batch. So, I decided to switch to English porcelain. Before making the new pieces, I tested a small plate to make sure it's similar to the results with Coleman porcelain.
There's a slightly colder tone that results in the English porcelain compared to the Coleman porcelain. It could also be that my test with the Coleman porcelain was a much thinner plate.
